It was a thick ninety five degrees the day of Ashley and Andrew's outdoor wedding at Bryn Du Mansion...but they were absolutely floating, coolly rising above the heat from pure elation. Ashley and Andrew happily giggled their way way through the day, embracing every single moment...barely spending more than a few seconds away from one another. Perfectly detailed by the always amazing Kasey with Bliss Wedding and Event Design...their day was sweet, magical romance from beginning to end.
Tegan is a one delightfully savvy girl who knows exactly what she wants, in love and in life...and on her wedding day. I was so excited that she had been sending me little snippets of her planning progress in the months leading up to their wedding...photographs of the centerpiece concepts by Flowers on Orchard Lane, images of the precious orchid hair pieces found on Etsy, and the fabulous design concept by Bliss Wedding and Event Design. It was so incredible to finally see their day come together...but even more lovely was seeing Tegan begin to peacefully enjoy all of it the moment she saw Erich. Before seeing Erich, Tegan was brimming with nervous excitement, she could barely stand still on the sidewalk and just as I finished fluffing her gown, she turned and gave me a huge hug. In that moment I was reminded of how lucky I am to be a witness to these amazing life moments. This was their perfect moment, their perfect day...lovingly and patiently planned...and I feel privileged that they invited me into their lives and hearts.
Also, much love and thanks to my good friend Adam Lowe who worked as my fabulous assistant that day!

Love. Sweet, laughter-filled, spirited, immeasurable LOVE. There just isn't any other word that could define Debra and Brian's wedding so completely. As the day unfolded, it became clear that this was not only a celebration of Debra and Brian's commitment in marriage...but a celebration of the deeply rooted, joyful and committed relationships within their entire family. Debra and Brian's wedding day was a reminder that marriage is so much bigger than ourselves, so much more immense than just one couple exchanging promises on one day. Marriage is a rite of passage into a long and loving history, it is a connection to our past, to the family we know and love, and to the family we never had the opportunity to know...it is a promise to our future and connects each and every one of us for all time.

Goodness. These are all beautiful, but I am totally enamored with that last photo.
(09.22.10 @ 09:32 PM)Amazing - with the wind and the heat we had that day - your work makes it all seem calm - I'm beginning to sound like a groupie, but your artistry deserves the accolades.
