If you don't know how much I love wedding gowns...let me tell you - I LOVE LOVE LOVE them with all my little heart. So when Columbus couture boutique Big Rock Little Rooster asked if I would like to photograph the latest gowns from the Romona Keveza line...I was beyond elated! The images below are some of my favorites from our delightful photo shoot, brought to life by the time, creativity and love from the most talented local wedding artists, including; Bliss Wedding and Event Design, BeautiMarked by Kelli, Cut Color Style, The Granville Millinery Company and Flowers on Orchard Lane. And a big, big thank you to the lovely models who devoted their time and talent to make my vision a reality. Enjoy!!

The April sky swiftly gathered and released into a quick, complex spectacle of thunderstorms, rain, sun, wind, hail, sun and even more rain. Yet Sarah and Nick made the day light and bright, simply from their delight in each other, their giddiness to see all their hours of joyful planning come to life and their eagerness to celebrate with their most beloved family and friends.
I shared several energetic conversations with Sarah and Nick before their wedding, and welcomed the excited emails about Sarah's custom gown design which was handmade from her mom's wedding dress fabric, the chic, vintage floral designs created by one of Sarah's close friends, the local inspirations from their childhood hometowns, and the personal mementos of their relationship. I adored that their friends and family participated intimately in their wedding day...with the sharing of poems, Polish traditions, singing and playing of instruments. Throughout the day, I had the distinct feeling that every guest had somehow played a part in bringing their wedding day to life...whether through their artistry, time, talent or just simply, their love and goodwill toward the blissful newlyweds.

Amy Carruthers says:
The blue wall is at N 5th Street and E Naghten Street downtown. :)
(06.02.11 @ 12:01 PM)There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever, not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all
But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Amanda and Matt chose this song to be read as a poem during their ceremony. I honestly can't think of a more perfect vow of love than these words. This song instantly conjures the spirit of life, by weaving together the past and future into the present moment. This certainly was a day of celebrating not only how they were lead to that very moment...but also looking forward to where that moment will lead. It was clear that this circle of family and friends were closely threaded together, that their stories and lives intertwined in tiny and complex ways, and that Amanda and Matt were eagerly welcomed into each others' families with great joy.
