We visited about four weeks shy of the peak summer travel season...so my glimpse of the resort was a quiet journey through impeccably designed, immense, vacant spaces. It felt the like a reception ballroom before the guests arrive...perfectly poised, quietly waiting for the arrival, the rush of conversation, joy, movement, laughter, life.

LOVE the color processing. Like lots. Great collection Ames!

Amy, these are just beautiful. I am familiar with the feeling you came home with after this shoot. I think, though, that is these kind of shoots and locations are necessary. When we end up with work we never anticipated getting, I think it opens the door to some new ways of seeing. These images are truly beautiful and I am sure you have more than the 5 that you mention :) This shoot also reminded me of our adventure to Ft. Hayes many years ago- some of our best work came from that day!
(01.24.10 @ 10:23 AM)these are fantastic. i was surprised by my reaction to them. emotional. and its funny .... before i started my adventure in photography 5 years ago, i was a kitchen designer for over 16 years. i saw quite a few of these during that time ... i would love to capture images of them now. thanks for sharing!
