It's rare that I show a sneak peek of a session the same day I photograph it, but the sweet spirit of Carolyn and Josh's engagement session at Whetstone Park of Roses is still lingering in my heart and mind...so I just had to share.
The drive to Kent for Krystle and Ryan's engagement session resembled something like time travel...in a faint but familiar dream...from a long, long time ago. So many places, small things...sparked memories of old friends, late nights, loud laughter, hopeful conversations, new beginnings, and a lot of love. My own story is woven so completely through those buildings, grass, sidewalks, sky and brick streets, I felt certain my old self was sitting inside a picture window, looking out onto the street to see who I've become...to see the story of me. And if my old self was looking on, she would see the story of me is now intricately tethered to the story of everyone else. With each image...I become part of their story and they uniquely add to mine. For Krystle and Ryan, their story is a song...many songs, some sung and some unwritten. For them, the lovely, light strums rise through the space between...to unite and bind them to this moment and to their future. Time is bittersweet. We can never go back...but we all have places and songs and memories that can take us there.
OH. MY. GAWD. Meagan and Rob rock my world. They ROCK it. When they first met with me Meagan handed me these freaking awesome film stills from the Marie Antoinette movie and some of the sexiest, most dramatic glam-meets-rock-and-roll style boards EVER. And then proceeded to describe their wedding theme as, "A Royal Bash Gone Awry". Um...YES, PLEASE!! Just a few weeks later, we found ourselves at Jeffrey mansion...doing their most amazing engagement session. They are madly, crazy in love with each other. And I am in love with them. Madly. Forever. IN LOVE.

My favorite shots of the day are the window images below. Right when Meagan and Rob got all nestled into these windows, Meagan got calm and quiet...and said across the way to Rob, "I'm so glad we're doing this. I'm so happy to be here right now...for what this all means."
