On March 23rd, I will have the distinct honor of photographing the Cakes for a Cause charity event supporting the Mid-Ohio Foodbank and Operation Feed. This event was lovingly created by two inspirational women in my life, Kasey Skobel-Conyers of Bliss Wedding and Event Design and Emily Duncan of Emily Duncan Event Planning. In the words of Kasey and Emily, "As event professionals, our job often involves feeding people or working on events where food is involved - now is our chance to come together as a community and help feed those less fortunate than us through the Mid-Ohio Foodbank and Operation Feed! Please join us on March 23, 2010 at 6 pm for an evening of mixing and mingling with area event professionals and anyone with an event coming up (brides and grooms especially!) highlighted by a cake auction featuring the best and brightest cake designers and bakers along with other fantastically generous companies in the Columbus area."
If you are interested in learning more about the event, beyond the details listed below, please visit the Cakes for a Cause website at www.columbuscakesforacause.com or send an email with your questions to info@columbuscakesforacause.com
WHO: Columbus area event professionals and anyone planning an event in the near future - especially brides and grooms! (if you are seeing this please, consider yourself cordially invited!)
WHAT: An evening of fun and networking benefiting the Mid-Ohio Foodbank and Operation Feed including live and silent cake auctions and raffles - there will be something to satisfy every sweet tooth and we are thinking WAY outside the cake pan!
WHERE: The Mid-Ohio Foodbank's brand new facility at 3960 Brookham Drive, Grove City, Ohio, 43123
WHEN: March 23, 2010 from 6 to 9 pm
WHY: Because there are too many hungry people in the Central Ohio area and this is a fun and simple way to help!
Please visit the website for advance ticket purchases and Mid-Ohio Foodbank donations.

Amy, these are just beautiful. I am familiar with the feeling you came home with after this shoot. I think, though, that is these kind of shoots and locations are necessary. When we end up with work we never anticipated getting, I think it opens the door to some new ways of seeing. These images are truly beautiful and I am sure you have more than the 5 that you mention :) This shoot also reminded me of our adventure to Ft. Hayes many years ago- some of our best work came from that day!
(01.24.10 @ 10:23 AM)these are fantastic. i was surprised by my reaction to them. emotional. and its funny .... before i started my adventure in photography 5 years ago, i was a kitchen designer for over 16 years. i saw quite a few of these during that time ... i would love to capture images of them now. thanks for sharing!
