A sweet mother and son moment from today's session with the Sword family...

I spent yesterday afternoon with my spirited, lovely friend of Bliss Wedding and Event Design...here's one of my personal favorites from her session. I asked her to think about all the pretty weddings she's designing next year and this was her immediate expression...LOVE.

When I documented Karrie and Michael's most lovely vintage farm wedding last summer, Payson was just a tiny, happy pudge of a baby. A little over a year later Karrie and Michael's family has changed so much!! Now they have their hands full with the quickly-growing, feisty, curly-haired, Payson and their newest addition, adorable little Oliver.
The day of their session happened to be Payson's 2nd birthday...and it was so very fitting because the session truly revolved around his every ornery whim and I loved it. It's hilarious such a small person can be so completely in charge. I absolutely loved being able to document this time in their lives, the ever-changing moments and moods of these two sweet little babes, the constant cooing and laughing and kisses, the never-ending chasing of Payson with his tiny floating giggle and golden flopping curls as he runs and runs and runs...and runs some more. I revel in their joy...in seeing them together, as they were always meant to be, as this blissful little family.

Oh my gosh, I love this session. I can't believe how grown up Payson is! It's so nice to see this family grace your blog again, and of course, the imagery is beautiful! Love that last shot!
